"Shelter Me: 2020" is hosted by Entrepreneur and Star of Shark Tank, Daymond John. This timely film was made during the early days of the pandemic to show how the best in people prevailed in the face of adversity. Our cameras were rolling when New York City was the epicenter of COVID-19 and the country began to shut down. The people working at the animal shelter were on the front lines and, at great risk to their own lives, persevered to help the animals and the people. We visit a pet food pantry to show a community coming together to keep beloved pets with their families. Plus, we see people fostering pets for the first time to help their local shelter, to give themselves companionship and to help the animals find their permanent homes.
