If you were offered cold hard cash for your most treasured possessions, how tempted would you be to sell? That’s the dilemma facing today’s homeowners, as the Secret Dealers strike again! With their own hard-earned cash, the dealers are given complete freedom in two homes while the homeowners are away in their hunt for the best antiques and collectables their money can buy. Their secret bids are not revealed until the homeowner returns, and it’s then that some tough decisions have to be made – sell to the highest bidder, haggle for more, or turn down the money for sentimental reasons? Dealers Mark, Christopher and Simon do battle with homeowner Steve and his daughter Natalie in the first house, which contains a stunning display of Martinware pottery, including an impressive ‘ grotesque’ design fish vase. The bidding goes through the roof, but there’s a sting in the tail of this story. Mark is then joined by dealers David and Tim for a rummage through homeowner Lee’s house, which contains an eye-watering feast of glittering gems inherited from his late father, including a diamond cluster ring.
