Chubasco Channel Artist Alex! Jimenez spent a year in creating the Chubasco Channel, an artwork by commissioned by Tucson Water to raise awareness of the vulnerability of Tucson’s water supply. Using field recordings of 2021 monsoon season, the project was realized as an immersive sound installation along the Santa Cruz River on Dia San Juan, an annual celebration of the monsoons. Sean Parker’s Universe In less than seven years, Tucsonan Sean Parker went from novice to internationally celebrated photographer and cinematographer.
