Detained "DETAINED: Voices from the Migrant Incarceration System," is an oral history project archiving the stories of asylum seekers formerly incarcerated in Arizona. The organizers call the archive a counter-memorial and intend for it to be a record of the emergent landscape of for-profit immigrant detention. Their hope is that the project will foster public engagement with the marginalized voices at the center of the immigrant detention industry.
