Planetary Seismometer At the University of Arizona, scientists are transforming seismic technology into tools that can survive space. From icy moons like Europa, asteroids, and our moon, these planetary seismometers unlock hidden worlds beneath, revealing the mysteries of their interiors and potential for life. Snow4Flow Snow4Flow is a new University of Arizona-led NASA mission to study arctic glaciers using advanced radar mounted on low-flying aircraft. Captained by Jack Holt, a professor at the University of Arizona’s Lunar & Planetary Lab, the mission’s goal is to improve climate modeling and to better understand glacial loss and its impact on sea level rise. Owl Party If you’re driving through Tucson’s Palo Verde neighborhood and see dozens of people staring up at a tree, you might have stumbled upon an owl party. Each evening, these people gather to see what the resident Great Horned Owl family is doing, and in the process, get to know their neighbors and create a stronger community.
