A FATHER'S RETURN is a tribute to our service members, through the story of one who gave his life. Major John Carroll, USAF, was a pilot in the Vietnam War. He was shot down and killed in the fall of 1972. Numerous attempts to recover his body failed. However, the US military (JPAC) goes to extraordinary lengths to bring home soldiers lost in foreign wars. Thirty five years later a military search team tried again and recovered his remains. Major Carroll was returned home for burial with full military honors. Through the words and tears of his daughter and mother we share in the sadness of their loss and the joy of finally getting closure.
