Part of Southern California's transverse range, the San Gabriel Mountains sit astride some of the most populous areas in the world. This rugged range has more waterfalls than any other region in Southern California. It's also the home of many beautiful chaparral and mountain wildflowers, from the giant Blazing Star to a diminutive Lotus.
