Human beings spend more than one third of their lives asleep, what really happens while we sleep? We know we need sleep but why is it so important? In this episode of Wavelengths, we will look at fascinating studies on sleep, for instance how much sleep do patients get in a hospital's intensive care unit? Also, what is Sleep Apena and why is it becoming more widspread? We'll also learn how sleep may effect the learning of children with Down Syndrome and, what can you do if you have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep? Insomnia affects up to 15% of adults.
