AMERICA REMEMBERS - 9/11

Episode 1 of 1

This program includes highlights from the day's memorial events marking the sites of the attacks at the World Trade Center, at the Pentagon and in Pennsylvania. The special travels across the country to get the personal perspectives of Americans as they look back on the events of 9/11 and the effect on their lives over the past decade. During the program, PBS NewsHour correspondents meet with military families in Kentucky, younger Americans in California who have known only a post-9/11 world, New Yorkers who lost loved ones in the terrorist attacks and Muslims in Dearborn, Michigan, whose situation has changed significantly since before 2001. Five members of the PBS NewsHour team lead the program from these locations: Hari Sreenivasan, Gwen Ifill, Judy Woodruff, Ray Suarez and Jeff Brown.
