As Harry faces deportation to the United States, Elena wishes to talk to him regarding an upcoming attack. Ruth and Section D decide to break Harry out of custody and meet up in an abandoned Ministry of Defence site. There, Elena reveals that she organised the recent attacks, and is setting up another attack to push Britain and Russia into war, with the help from Russian politicians who believe their government is too weak. It is also revealed that Elena was a double agent with the KGB the entire time, and made Harry believe that Sasha was his son. Harry and the team learn that a man named Pavel Zykov is going to commit a suicide mission on a London-bound plane. However, Ruth believes Elena is lying. Zykov has jammed the plane's communication, forcing the British government to prepare to order the plane to be shot down. When the Home Secretary receives a call from Ilya Gavrik (who has watched Elena's confession) convincing him the attack is fake, he aborts the mission, after which Gavrik kills Elena. Ruth sees Harry and convinces him to leave the service with her. However, Sasha has found out that they knew Ilya would kill his mother and tries to stab Harry.
