20TH CENTURY BATTLEFIELDS: VIETNAM

Peter Snow is a highly respected journalist, author and broadcaster. He was ITN's Diplomatic and Defense Correspondent from 1966 to 1979, and presented Newsnight, the BBC's flagship news and current affairs programme, from 1980 to 1997. His son and partner, Dan Snow, won a first-class degree in history at Balliol College, Oxford, where he developed a passion for military history, specializing in the First World War. Since graduation he has written articles on military history and sailing, and together with his father, he researched, wrote and hosted the BBC series Battlefield Britain. This program takes a look at the conduct of the war in Vietnam, covering the Tet Offensive of 1968, in particular the fighting at Saigon and Khe Sanh, but the main focus is on the Battle of Hue.
