This historic 1987 concert event was restored in HD from the original 35mm footage and shot from over six concerts in Moscow and Leningrad. It has been re-mastered with six previously unreleased songs. The program has not been available since its original VHS release. Billy Joel: The Bridge to Russia Concert connects with the Russian people in the tumultuous era of the Cold War, and features classics ('Only the Good Die Young', 'Big Shot', 'The Longest Time'), hits from Joel's 1986 album 'The Bridge' ('A Matter of Trust', 'Big Man on Mulberry Street') and a cover of the Beatles' 'Back in the U.S.S.R.' Directed by award winner Wayne Isham. Produced and restored by Emmy-winning documentarian Jim Brown ('Pete Seeger: The Power of Song' and 'American Roots Music' (the "Program"). The Program was taped in the former Soviet Union.
