Nana has just finished putting up a new bird feeder that has Mona all curious. Nana shows Mona the box as she explains how the feeder works and that a hummingbird will soon come to drink all they need to do is be patient and very quite. Mona in turn explains it to Russell and the two wait together to see a bird. There is nothing happening except for Russell scratching himself and so Mona starts to rub his belly. The more she rubs the louder they get. Soon Mona is chasing Russell around the yard and they are being very loud. They run over to Nana and Wooka and Nana warns them they are too loud to see any birds, which reminds Wooka of a puppet show he has for them. Mr. Wooka's Puppet Show-Two fishermen are in the ocean fishing. One is very patient and quiet while the other is very loud. The quite fisherman tells the loud one that to catch fish you need to be quiet. He follows the fisherman's advice and soon has hooked himself a beauty. After the show has finished Mona goes to watch the birdfeeder only this time she is very quiet and patient. This time a bird arrives at the feeder and Mona and Russell watch in awe. The bird flies off and Nana joins them they tell her all about the hummingbird. They head inside for lunch but Russell's lunch isn't ready yet. He barks impatiently and Nana asks him to wait quietly for his food and asks Mona to keep him company as he waits. Mona and Russell play at the table to pass the time. First they pretend to be birds and then they make faces at each other. At last the food is ready and Russell eats. Nana takes Mona to get ready for a story but Mona needs to wait patiently for Nana to get the book. Mona is waiting when she hears Alice meow. She goes in search for Alice and finds her under the couch. Mona decides to coax Alice out and runs into some difficulty. She chases her out and back under the couch and this goes back and forth for a bit. Finally Mona decides to be quiet and wait patiently and sure enough Alice emerges from the sofa ready for a pet. Nana arrives with the book for story time. Story Time-Wendy Learns to Wait-Wendy learns that certain things take time and are worth the wait. After the story the head to the backyard to see if there is any action at the birdfeeder. Sure enough along comes a hummingbird for them to see and Nana tells them it was worth the wait. The doorbell rings and Mona heads home.
