After watching an episode of their favorite cartoon, Dash Smasher and the Space Pioneers, George and Junior try to emulate the show and set out to do good deeds in order to become heroes like on TV. After failed attempts with Mom and Dad, George and JUNIOR head outside in search of heroic deeds. Soon it's JUNIOR's nap and Captain George is on his own. George hears Becky, the new girl next door in need of help. Sparkle Tangerine (the neighborhood cat) is trying to get at a baby bird in it's nest and George will need to act fast in order to help it. George and Becky use ingenuity and teamwork to save the baby bird and become fast friends in the process.
