Mister Rogers' Neighborhood

Art With Sand/Arts Festival In Make-Believe

Season 17, Episode 62 of 65

What would you do with sand? Some people build elaborate sand castles, others draw in it. Mister Rogers makes a picture with glue and sand. At Tony's Book, Toy, and Costume Shop, he joins a group of children listening to Tony Chiroldes read a Spanish book Tengo Seis Anos (I Am Six Years Old). In Make-Believe, Lady Elaine declares herself as judge of the Art Festival and insists art can be only one way representational! Mister Rogers lets his "television friends" know that each person looks at things differently so each person's art would be unique.
