American Health Journal

The American Health Journal is a half hour informative healthcare series featuring 6 segments related to various healthcare issues and presented by top medical professionals in their specialized field of medicine. Hosted by Kris Long, a 30-year veteran of broadcast journalism and recipient of three Emmy's for his news reporting, along with Lora Windsor as Special Assignment Reporter and Roger Cooper, Senior Reporter and Emmy winner - make up the team for the American Health Journal. Healthcare topics vary weekly according to current health concerns and recent medical breakthroughs in research and treatments. Since 1988 the American Health Journal has interviewed on location over 6000 physicians. Among the series topics are Heart Disease, Latest Cancer Treatments, Sleep Disorders, Diabetes, Back Pain, Cataracts, Mental Illness, Addiction, Pediatrics and Cosmetic Surgery. The physicians are from renowned Medical Centers across the United States and discuss prevention, symptoms, current treatments and therapies as well as sharing their personal patient stories of success. The American Health Journal has received over 100 National and International Awards including a recent Prism Award nomination from the Entertainment Industries Council for Best Healthcare Documentary.
