The new how-to series ROEY'S PAINTBOX seeks to educate, motivate and inspire budding young artists to tap into their creative side through painting. Art instructor Roey Ebert helps guide even the most timid beginner step-by-step through the painting process, paying attention to the smallest details within each piece. She introduces artistic vocabulary, concepts and techniques while familiarizing the viewer with different eras and styles in art history - from impressionism and abstract expressionism to pop art and photorealism. In each episode, Roey leads a group of children through the creation of two different paintings. She teaches them about starting with proper supplies, warming up, sketching an outline, creating the background and foreground, adding the finishing touches, and signing the paintings. As a muralist, Roey spent years painting libraries, stores, churches, schools, homes and children's bedrooms. She owns a successful art studio and hosts paint parties, where she helps guests create their own masterpieces.
