The award-winning SECOND OPINION is a national initiative to promote health literacy and empower viewers to take charge of their healthcare. This season features new host Joan Lunden, an esteemed journalist and television personality, breast cancer survivor, and women's health advocate. In each half-hour episode, Lunden hosts a panel of medical experts along with a real patient story that highlights a specific medical condition, disease, or public health issue in order to examine effective treatments and solutions.
