"Faces of the Argentine Desert"--The continuation of life in the face of death is a daily battle for the Argentine people. Viewers learn how the Earth's natural resources can provide for life, even in the deser t. They begin in bustling Buenos Aires at the tomb of Eva Per�n, and t hen travel to a little village famous for its wool, harvested from a c ousin of the camel, the vicuna. The local cactus wood is important in nearly every aspect of peoples' lives. They transform the wood into fu rniture such as pews, pulpits, altars and ceiling boards.
