Sick As a Dog: Mona is sick and she learns how to get better. - Russell runs outside with a Frisbee. Mona sneezes and tells Russell that she doesn't feel well. Russell keeps trying to play but Mona is sick, so he gets Nana. Nana comes out and feels Mona's forehead. She confirms that Mona has a fever and that she is sick. She wraps her in her shawl and carries her upstairs to the bedroom. Russell watches as his playmate is taken to bed. Nana puts Mona in bed and takes her temperature, while explaining what a thermometer does. She tells Mona that she has a high temperature. Mona says that she doesn't want to be sick, and Nana promises that she will make her time in bed as fun as possible with lots of stories, and yummy soup. Mona can hear Russell barking outside. She wants to play with him, but she can't go outside. Nana comes in with a surprise: Mr. Wooka with his puppet theater. Puppet Show: It is an opera puppet show all about making a sick child feel better. They try lots of different ways, but none of them work. The last attempt is medicine. The child takes it, and falls asleep. When she wakes up she feels better. Mona has fallen asleep and Nana and Mr. Wooka go and make some tea and soup. Later we hear Russell howling. Mona wakes up and calls for him. She really doesn't want to be sick. Russell is in the backyard with Nana, but he wants to be with Mona. He gets an idea. He coughs a few times. Runs over to Nana and coughs again. Nana doesn't notice. Russell starts to act really sick. Nana sees that he is sick, and takes him upstairs to be with Mona. Mona asks what has happened and Nana explains that Russell is sick too, and so she will be taking care of both of them. Nana warns them not to fool around, because they need their rest to feel better. When Nana leaves, Russell starts to play in the bed. Mona realizes that Russell isn't sick at all, and that he just wants to play with her. They start to play together, except that Mona seems to be getting sicker. Russell brings Mona the Kleenex, and starts to pull out all the tissue just as Nana comes back into the room. Russell quickly starts to play sick again, but the jig is up. Nana puts down the soup and takes out a book. Story Time: Sammy the duck feels yuck. - It is a story about Sammy the Duck who is sick. He wants to play, but he doesn't feel good. He decides that he is going to feel better, so he eats his soup, and takes his medicine. After a good night's sleep, he wakes up and feels better. After the story, Mona eats her soup and it starts to make her feel better. Mommy comes to take Mona home, and so Nana brings her downstairs and she leaves wrapped in Nana's shawl.
