Gordon needs to pull the express one more time to set a record. He is determined not to let anything stand in his way. So when he's accidentally given Henry's special coal, he doesn't stop. He hopes it'll make him go faster. Henry bravely puffs on with his ordinary coal. While Henry struggles with a clogged firebox, Gordon puffs across the island. Eventually Gordon's conscience gets the better of him and, just as he's about to finish his journey, he stops and puffs back to Henry. Gordon and Henry swap coal tenders. Gordon is very sorry to have taken Henry's coal, while Henry is sorry that Gordon couldn't set his record. Thomas is taking some holidaymakers on a sightseeing trip around the Island of Sodor. Gordon sniffs that he would be much faster, so Thomas sets out to prove that he's wrong. He races from location to location so fast that he leaves holidaymakers behind at each place! Bertie the bus sees what is happening and chases after Thomas, collecting the stranded passengers as he goes. When Thomas realizes what he's done he takes the holidaymakers to the seaside and stays there - it's much better to see one place properly, than to see lots in a hurry!
