Thomas & Friends

Helping Hands

Season 6, Episode 10 of 10

Toby is fitted with a brand new three chime whistle while his little bell is repaired. Toby finds this new whistle a bit daunting. So instead, Toby comes up with a plan. If he is very careful and drives very slowly he won't need to use it. However, when Thomas hurtles towards some cows, which have wandered onto the tracks, Toby is forced to use his bell. Toby realizes that his bell is not that scary, in fact it makes a great noise. So, when Gordon races towards a fallen tree, Toby is happy to blow his whistle and save Gordon too. At Knapford Station, Hiro sees that Sir Topham Hatt is very busy. Sir Topham Hatt is in a rush to see his brother. He appears without his hat and even knocks into a porter! Edward puffs in. He needs instructions from Sir Topham Hatt for the visitors he has. Hiro decides he will help Sir Topham Hatt, by making decisions for him, in his absence! Hiro tells Edward to take the visitors to the Hills, tells Thomas to take time to visit Farmer Trotter and the piglets and then tells Percy to take his flatbed of ducks to the Fenland for a swim! Hiro feels delighted with his work until Sir Topham Hatt meets him. The visitors are late, Farmer McColl wants his ducks and where is Thomas and his crates!? Sir Topham Hatt is never too busy for engine business. Hiro is mortified. He chuffs off fast to tell Edward, Thomas and Percy to complete their tasks quickly. Order is returned and Hiro returns to Knapford where Sir Topham Hatt tells him that he is still a Really Useful Engine!
