Scoop's Pet Shark: Bob and the team are building a new aquarium for a baby tiger shark at the Sea Life Center. As Muck holds Stripy the Shark in a tank inside his tray and Scoop is inspired to take their new "pet" for a tour of the neighborhood. Muck's front bucket becomes lodged between two trees and Leo arrives at the scene to help pull Muck free. Bob finishes the tank and Stripy is lowered into her new home, wowing adoring spectators. Learning Goals: To learn about animals. To compare and contrast animals. To appreciate differences. To understand the importance of being kind and welcoming. Marathon Span: Bob, Wendy, Leo, Scoop, and Lofty are completing the second stage of a bridge over Spring City's River Coil, to be finished for Spring City's Quarter Marathon. They are building a spar and building out a bridge deck, which is held up by cables attached to the spar. In the midst of the day's work, Scoop catches a fish in his bucket and, panicking, causes Lofty to reverse suddenly. Lofty's back-end dangles off the edge of the partially constructed bridge and Bob reels Lofty in by using his own hook and winch. The bridge is finished in time and is officially opened by the unexpected marathon winner: Mr. Bentley. Learning Goals: To investigate how things are made. To explore animal habitats. To understand the importance of being helpful to others.
