THEME: Self-acceptance; frustration with being short. When Nanou measures Bali and his friends height, they discover that Bali hasn't grown as much as the others. This upsets Bali, as he doesn't like being the shortest. In his dream he awakens in bed, having grown over night. Thrilled, he gets up and continues to grow. But things begin to get out of hand as he becomes as tall as the city. In 'reality', Bali discovers that growing at one's own speed is ok.
