So, when Thomas is sent to work in the quarry, Daisy takes on his usual responsibilities, leaving Annie and Clarabel behind. Daisy constantly reminds them she doesn't need them as long as she is working Thomas's branch line. But Daisy becomes so popular with the passengers that she needs Annie and Clarabel's help to carry them all! Upset that Daisy was so rude to them earlier, Annie and Clarabel trick her into thinking she needs to be repaired. But Annie and Clarabel end up getting left behind again, and learn that two wrongs don't make a right! But when he learns that Thomas has been assigned the same task, Samson tries to find another way to show everyone that he's very important. He decides to take more trucks than he should, insisting that it will save time. But with so many heavy trucks, Samson can't get over Gordon's Hill! It takes him even longer to deliver the stones, and when he asks Thomas to help him, he ends up making Thomas late too. Sir Topham Hatt is unhappy with the delay, but Samson takes responsibility, assuring him that he has learned his lesson and won't make the same mistake again.
